Feng Shui and Wall Stickers
Text contribution by Alexandra Wittl
Many people have heard the term Feng Shui at some point and associate it—if they haven’t yet delved deeper into the subject—with Asian interior design, wall colors, or similar concepts. The great skeptics even consider it nothing more than hocus-pocus. But Feng Shui is so much more!
Unfortunately, many people are still unaware that we all deal with good or less good Feng Shui every day through our living and working environments. Our outer spaces are closely connected with our inner spaces of consciousness. What wall tattoos have to do with this, you will learn in this article.
The origins of Feng Shui: Harmony between humans and nature
The roots of classical Feng Shui lie in Asia. It is an ancient art of harmony and natural observation that helps us recognize and interpret the influence of our environment on human beings.
Literally translated, Feng Shui means wind and water—two of our most essential forces, which we need for life but which can also harm us when they appear as untamed natural powers.
When the harmonious laws of nature are followed, the interactions of the five elements are observed, and life energy is allowed to flow, it has a very positive effect on our lives.
The vibration of our spaces: How our home reflects our life
Everything has a vibration
A fundamental aspect of creation is that everything—humans, animals, plants, and even matter—is animated and carries a vibration within. Through the universal laws of life—such as “like attracts like,” the principle of duality, and cause and effect—we can experience that everything in the microcosm mirrors the macrocosm: As above, so below. As within, so without.
The radiance of rooms
Just as certain minerals or healing herbs carry a specific vibration, every person, every place, every property, every building, every home, and every room also has its own energy and resonance. You’ll surely agree that you feel different in a hospital than in a church; that a blue room feels cooler than a red one; that a south-facing room feels more active than one in the north; that round shapes feel softer and more flowing than angular ones; or that you feel more comfortable in a clean, tidy space than in a messy, cluttered storage room.
Resonance with our surroundings
We are constantly resonating with our surroundings—sometimes consciously, but usually unconsciously. Our home and the spaces in which we spend many hours each day play a crucial role in how our life unfolds. Our “four walls” reflect our inner consciousness in the outer world and show us exactly which areas of life we are currently learning and growing in—or still may grow.
Disorder and its meaning
It also becomes clear where in our lives we still need to release beliefs, clear old patterns, or process internal or external challenges. Disorder in certain areas of the home clearly shows where we are mentally or emotionally blocked, unclear, or unable to move forward.

Feng Shui Bagua
With the help of the Bagua—a kind of grid—it is possible to recognize the connections between different areas of our living space and the corresponding life themes such as success, wealth, career, health, family, knowledge and personal development, children and creativity, helpful people, and relationships with ourselves and our partners or family members.

Recognizing disharmony in the home
When we resonate with certain disharmonious conditions in our home, it can be draining and energy-consuming in everyday life. For example, if you have a dark, windowless room somewhere, you may find it extremely difficult to make progress in that corresponding life area or find clarity—you are literally in the dark and can’t find your way.
Letting energy flow
For life to flow easily and harmoniously, the life energy—Qi—must be allowed to move freely, and we must learn to consciously perceive our living spaces.
Take a critical look at the wall designs in your home and ask yourself what feelings and thoughts they evoke and what you associate with them. If you combine these insights with the location of the room according to the nine life areas of the Bagua, things become truly fascinating!
Everything is connected
If we compare the animated, living matter of our houses to a human body, the front door is the mouth, the windows are the eyes, and the walls represent our sensitive skin.
Every tattoo—whether on a person’s skin or on the wall of a building—forms a close “skin-deep” connection with us. The positive information and vibrations of depictions such as sacred geometries, powerful symbols, or loving words are transferred to us through an energetic connection. We can use this property to create movement and harmony within ourselves by influencing our external environment. The deeper meaning and message behind each symbol should always be consciously acknowledged.
Examples
Wall design with gold texture combined with a wall tattoo of the Flower of Life
This combination channels divine order and life energy into a specific area of life. At the same time, the color gold and the round form—both assigned to the Metal element in Feng Shui—harmonize the existing room energy.

Harmonizing negative Sha-Chi corners
In Feng Shui, pointed and sharp-edged shapes—called Sha-Chi—are considered energetic “attacks” on the body and subconscious. Over time, a sharp wall edge aimed at your desk or bed can have a negative impact on your well-being.
If such corners exist in your rooms, they also carry a deeper meaning, depending on which area of the Bagua they fall into.
Through the rounded metallic form of Feng Shui spirals and the visual softening of edges, these sharp influences are neutralized. The Sha-Chi loses attention and therefore energy.
For optimal effect, the Feng Shui spirals should be placed closely together along the entire edge. Arranging them in pairs also helps harmonize directional energies.
The purpose of a Feng Shui consultation
Each of us carries a deep desire for harmony and love within.
Have you already achieved this great goal—or would you like to improve or change something in your life but aren’t sure how or what?
Often this uncertainty arises because we are not yet consciously aware of the deeper connections between our life challenges and our living or working environments.
With an individual Feng Shui consultation, you gain insight into these relationships, your subconscious, and receive valuable advice on how to realign and transform disharmonious areas of your life in a positive way.
Ultimately, our existence should be shaped by unconditional love—for ourselves and for all forms of life—so that we can all live together in peace, love, and harmony.
It is up to us when we choose to reach this goal.
