Handmade Wooden Coaster – Vegvísir (Viking Compass) with Rune Ring
Bring a piece of authentic Swedish nature into your home! This beautiful coaster is crafted from pure, untreated birch wood, cut directly with a chainsaw by a local woodworker near Hässleholm in southern Sweden and gently dried afterwards.
With a diameter of approx. 16 cm and a heavy-duty thickness of approx. 2.5 cm, it is a robust eye-catcher. The intricate motif featuring the Vegvísir (the Nordic compass) surrounded by a Futhark rune ring is deeply laser-engraved into the wood. The Vegvísir is an ancient symbol of guidance and protection, meant to help the bearer find their way through rough storms.
A truly raw, natural product: Because the wood is deliberately left unsanded, preserving the authentic chainsaw marks, every single piece is a unique original. The bark is left completely natural—sometimes even with a touch of wild moss. As this is such an untouched natural item, small pieces of bark may naturally detach over time.
The delightful, fresh scent of natural wood brings the Scandinavian forest right into your home.
